ONE DANCE EVENT
A 'One Dance' event is where all couples at all levels compete against each other at the same time. 'One Dance' is an opportunity to enter in dances you love without having to compete in multiple (graded) events. If we get a large number of entries for a particular dance, we might choose to run it as a Graded Event.
Here is a list of the 'One Dances' being offered. If there is a dance that you don't see listed, let us know. We might be able to add it.
SWING: West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop
COUNTRY & WESTERN: C/W Two Step, C/W Waltz
BALLROOM/STANDARD: Slow Waltz, Viennese Waltz, International Tango
BALLROOM/LATIN: Samba, Jive, Rumba, Cha Cha
OTHER EVENTS: Argentine Tango, Salsa, Nightclub Two Step, Merengue
REGISTRATION FEES
VQDC Admission fee: $10.00 per person. Dance competitors are required to pay an admission fee, as well as competition fees. The admission fee covers the day and evening events.
Competition Fees:
One Dance Event
$10 per couple per dance ($5 per person).
Graded Event
$20 per couple for 1st category. ($10 per person).
$10 per couple for each additional category when
danced by the same couple whether a Graded or
One-Dance Event.
Maximum Competition Fee: $40.00 per person (allows you to enter any number of events). The $10 admission fee per competitor is in addition to competition fees. Thus, each dancer entering the VQDC will never pay more than $50.00.
